CMR M&A and Company Sale Division Director
	David Staveley email: cmr @cmruk.com :: Profile:: David comes to his role with a background of building and restructuring the international businesses that he has run, on 4 continents, for two major textile and clothing groups – the American VF Corporation and the UK’s original £1million IPO, Coats. Undertaking company purchases and sales for these multinationals, followed by a period as CEO of a listed Plc in a turnaround situation in Scotland gave him an appetite for M&A. His Mergers and Acquisitions experience covers Management Buy-In’s and Out’s in the UK as well as more conventional company mergers, sales and purchases in North and South America, Australasia and Europe. Frequent moves have led to a facility to rapidly assess the uniqueness of new companies and thereby extract maximum potential. His first stand-alone role as country manager was at 24 when he began to experience the subtleties of negotiating in different cultures that has stood him in good stead facilitating negotiations in today’s world!

	Dr. Allen Barnatt email: cmr @cmruk.com :: Profile:: Dr Allen Barnatt spent 25 years in the chemical industry at senior line and corporate level, including technical management, business development, technology licensing and marketing. He has been closely involved with the development of profitable new business in small, medium and large international companies, using a range of techniques including licensing, acquisition, synergy identification/implementation and university liaison. Following senior management positions at Lankro Chemicals and Baxenden Chemicals he was appointed Corporate Development manager of RTZ Chemicals, and later at Rhone Poulenc Chemicals. He has a degree in chemistry and a PhD in polymer chemistry, has published many techno/commercial papers, and served at senior levels on several Trade Associations.

CMR Director - Catalyst Groups
	Ben Bovill email: cmr @cmruk.com :: Profile:: After reading Spanish and French at Bristol University – both of which languages he speaks fluently, Ben joined the Tate & Lyle Group and very soon became involved in trading worldwide, in setting up new companies abroad, in restructuring existing operations and returning them to profitability. As International Director of a major subsidiary he took Tate & Lyle into new markets namely Colombia, Venezuela, Honduras, Guatemala, Puerto Rico and others thereby establishing the Company as the leader in Latin America. On leaving the Tate & Lyle Group after 25 years including several years living abroad Ben led an MBI into a specialist logistics Company working exclusively for the Computer and Hi-Tech industries. Ben appointed the Management team and together with his Business Partner wrote the business plan and raised the necessary Venture Capital. Ben’s sales skills enabled him to increase turnover by some £2.3 million p.a. over a 2 year period resulting in the Company achieving breakeven after approx 2 years. This success followed many years of losses. Ben remained as MD for 2 years until the business was sold to a PLC. The next four years were spent as Client Service Director with Argent Trading, an American Corporate Barter Company. Ben’s negotiating skills came to the fore, which enabled him to negotiate substantial contracts on behalf of mainly blue chip clients. Following successful surgery, Ben worked on sales to SME’s with Bartercard, the world’s largest Trade Exchange and supervised the introduction of EFTPOS terminals to enable Barter transactions to be processed electronically in addition to Debit and Credit Card transactions. Apart from his enjoyment of international travel – he has lived in and visited many of the beautiful places around the world, yacht sailing is his other great passion. Fortunately for his wife and three grown-up children, Ben is also a superb cook.
